Kala Bhairavar is a powerful form of Lord Shiva. He is known as the protector of time. People believe he removes fear, protects from evil, and helps those who are truthful. Devotees pray to him for safety, justice, and peace of mind. Many worship him on special days like Ashtami to receive his blessings.
Why Our Temple is Special
A special milk abhishekam is performed at our Southern Kasi Bhairava Temple on every Theipirai Ashtami. The first abhishekam starts at 9:30 AM, followed by lamp worship at 12:00 noon. The second abhishekam is at 4:00 PM, and lamp worship at 8:00 PM.
Devotees can personally perform milk abhishekam on the Swarna Linga and Sri Swarna Akarshana Bhairava. Milk is provided at the temple.
For online appointments, devotees’ names will be included in the sankalpam. Prasadam will be sent by post, but milk will not be delivered, as it is offered at the temple.

Swarna Akarshana Bhairavar is a rare and powerful form of Kala Bhairavar, specially worshipped for wealth, success and a better life. While most people pray to Goddess Lakshmi for wealth, ancient scriptures say that even Lakshmi Devi received her wealth and golden radiance from Swarna Akarshana Bhairavar.
At our Bhairavar temple, Swarna Akarshana Bhairavar is the Moolavar (main deity).
He is not just worshipped, he is deeply trusted as the source of divine gold energy and blessings.
Every full moon at our Southern Kasi Bhairava Temple, a special yagna is performed at 4:30 PM, followed by a golden abhishekam with 108 one-rupee coins on the powerful golden linga, worshipped by various Siddhas.
On this sacred day, devotees can anoint the golden linga with coins provided by the temple. It is believed that keeping these energized coins at home brings wealth, clears debts, and invites Lakshmi’s blessings.
For online bookings, the energized coins used in the abhishekam will be couriered to your registered address as prasadam.
